Visa issuance at a Consulate can be done either in the foreign national’s
home country or in Canada or Mexico. If a foreign national selects Canada or
Mexico, and the visa is denied, the foreign national must return to their
home country. The foreign national will not be permitted to enter the U.S.
until a new visa has been issued. In addition, the following nationals
cannot apply as third country nationals for a visa in Canada or Mexico:
North Korea, Cuba, Syria, Sudan, Iran, Iraq, and Libya.
STEP #1: Prepare your application for issuance. Please complete the
following documentation for yourself and each family member who will be
having a visa issued. If several family members are included in one
passport, each person desiring a visa must complete an application.
