Canadian Nursing Association: Immigration Needed
In a brief to the Canadian House of Commons Standing Committee, the Canadian Nursing Association recognized the role that immigration has played on Canada’s productivity. The CNA calls for a principles-based approach to immigration.

Tenet: No Risk of Bankruptcy
Tenet, which owns and operates 58 hospitals in 12 states, refuted a report by a Credit Suisse analyst stating Tenet could have to file for bankruptcy protection in three years if the health care industry doesn't regain patient volumes and see a recovery of patient insurance.

A UK Department of Health spokesperson said staff shortages are no longer a burden for the NHS. ‘The extra staff and lower vacancy rates have been crucial in delivering faster, better care. We are moving towards steadier ground where there is a better balance between supply and demand.’
