Bio

Katie joined the firm as an associate in April 2007. Katie previously worked for a large firm in Indianapolis as an immigration attorney specializing in employment and family based cases. Throughout law school, Katie worked as a law clerk at a legal aid clinic and practiced exclusively in family based immigration, refugee, and asylum law.

Katie loves to travel, especially with her family. She also enjoys movies, concerts, cooking and playing with her new puppy. She is adjusting to life in the Buckeye State and has developed an affinity for Skyline Chili and the Bengals – even though she is a die hard Chicago Bears fan.

Education

Katie graduated from the Indiana University School of Law in 2006. During her studies, she was awarded the 2004 Heartland Pro-Bono Student of the Year, 2005 Indianapolis Bar Association Pro-Bono Student of the Year, and the 2006 Norman Lefstein Award of Excellence for her work with refugees and asylum seekers in Indianapolis.

She is also a 2003 honors graduate of DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois with a major in International Studies and a minor in Economics.
