As Healthcare Immigration Alert readers are surely aware, foreign healthcare worker recruitment is being immediately impacted by the effects of retrogression. We believe that there is a window of opportunity for legislative relief during the current Congressional lame duck session. We are asking for your immediate assistance.

The organization that we lead, the Coalition to Improve Healthcare Staffing, (http://www.coalitiononhealthcarestaffing.org) has aligned ourselves with other like-minded organizations such as the AHA to lobby Congress on behalf of retrogression relief among other things positive for our industry. We are working with Bruce Morrison to lead our lobbying efforts and have been actively working with him for many months looking for a strategic opportunity to present our case. He believes that now is the time to act.

We are requesting three things from you:
 

1. That you allow us to place the name of your organization on the referenced sign-on letter (VIEW LETTER) that will be sent to the appropriate Congressional offices. Please let us know as soon as possible if that is acceptable.
    

2. We are asking that you forward this information to any other businesses that you think may be willing to support our cause. As this effort moves forward, we may request your assistance in making phone calls and or personal visits to key Congressional members to push our cause. If you are willing to provide that additional assistance, please let us know that as well.
