Hammond Law Group is pleased to pass along some exciting news: Last week HLG confirmed that examinees may begin registering for appointments on January 1, 2005. As planned, examinations will start in January. Several sources had questioned whether or not the NCSBN still intended to follow through with their June announcement.

While several details remain to be finalized, other facts appear in place:

--There will be a fee of USD150.

--All three test sites will offer two examinations per day and will be open 6 days per week. Each site is expected to have a 30-40 seat capacity. Therefore each site is expected to be able to process at least 300 examinees per week.

--Only those applicants with State Authorizations To Test (ATT) will be permitted to register.

--NCSBN says that an Indian and a Philippine test center will "likely" be approved during 2006.
