06/03/2004 HEALTHCARE IMMIGRATION ALERT:
NCLEX TO BE OFFERED OVERSEAS
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) has selected the
first three countries to begin offering the NCLEX examinations
internationally. Testing is expected to begin January 2005 in Seoul, South
Korea; London, England; and Hong Kong.
Pearson VUE, NCSBN’s contracted partner in delivering the NCLEX, concurs
with the initial selection of countries. NCSBN used several selection
criterion, including security and geographic representation outside of the
current member board of nursing locations. It is expected that Pearson VUE's
overseas fees will exceed the current US rates.
