INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR H1B VISA

Following is a list of information that is generally required from a sponsoring employer and foreign national in order to obtain a H1B visa. Please send the information listed below to the appropriate Hammond & Associates office location to the attention of your case attorney for review.

INFORMATION NEEDED FROM THE SPONSORING COMPANY

1) Copy of the Company Brochure and Annual Report;

    (If your company does not carry a brochure or annual report, a written company description will be sufficient).
         
2) Year Company was Established;

3) Current Number of Employees; and

4) Company's Gross Annual Income.
INFORMATION NEEDED FROM THE FOREIGN NATIONAL WHO IS IN THE U. S.
1) Current address, home, work and fax phone numbers;

2) Current Resume;

3) Copy of most recent payroll statement (only if currently on H1B status);

4) Copy of College Diploma(s);

5) Copies of College Transcripts;

6) Copies of Secondary School Certificates and mark sheets (for Indian and Mexican applicants);

7) Clear copy of passport (all pages, including blank pages, and  front and back covers);

8) Social Security Number;

9) Name of the contact person at the company along with a current telephone and fax number.

NOTE: The items below may or may not apply.  If they do, please include copies; if they do not, please circle N/A.

N/A         I-20 ID (front and back);
N/A         Work Authorization Card (front and back, with expiration date clearly legible);
N/A         Copy of all prior H1B approval Notice(s); and
N/A         Copy of passports, I-94 cards, and Social Security Numbers for any family members who wish to apply for H-4 status/extension.

NOTE: Copies are acceptible. Do not fax these documents; please use the mail service.
Information NEEDED FROM THE FOREIGN NATIONAL WHO IS NOT IN THE U. S.
1) Clear copy of College Diploma(s), Degree, etc...;

2) Clear copy of College Transcripts or mark sheets;

3) Copies of Secondary School Certificates and mark sheets (for Indian and Mexican applicants);

4) Clear copy of passport (all pages, including blank pages, and  front and back covers);

5) Current Resume;

6) Copy of Employment Verification Letter from past employer;

7) Dates of prior stays in the U.S. on either an H, F, L, or J visa; and

8) Current address, phone number, and fax number.

Please also note: It is very important that at the appropriate time you provide all of the applicable above-listed information/documentation completely and expeditiously.
Failue to do so, will result in unnecessary delays in processing your visa.  It is also very important that all copies submitted are clear and legible.
If we are unable to read a document, it is likely the INS will be unable to read it as well.  This will also cause delays in processing your visa.
