Computer professionals typically enter the United States on either a H1B visa or a TN Visa. Because of the great need for computer professionals in the U.S. today, Hammond & Associates has made it a priority to address this need for its clients by preparing H1B and TN temporary work visas on an expedited basis.
Typically, a TN visa application can be prepared in the same day. For H-1B visa petitions, the firm has developed several procedures to ensure that processing is accomplished as quickly as possible. For our established corporate clients these procedures include: maintaining a ready supply of pre-approved LCAs; special rates from educational evaluation services for overnight evaluations of academic credentials; faxing and/or emailing draft petitions for review; and the assignment of a specific legal professional to your company. It is our goal to handle all paperwork received in less than 3 days. The net effect is that the vast majority of H-1B petitions are filed within 5 days of receipt of all information.
Individuals and new clients receive the same level of service, although there may be longer processing times due to the need to obtain a Labor Condition Application ("LCA") approval from the U.S. Department of Labor ("DOL"). In addition to an attorney, a specific legal assistant or paralegal will be assigned to each computer professional case. They will serve as your point of contact and will be accessible via telephone, email, and/or fax. You will also be able to monitor the status of your case via our secure case status page.
For companies that intend to hire multiple computer professionals in the course of a year, we are available to meet with you and develop a plan for the processing the necessary visas in a way that will meet your unique needs. We will also regularly monitor the service that we provide and ensure that your employees and human resources staff are satisfied.
The firm is able to uniquely address the needs of Information Technology companies, in part, due to the large number of computer professional cases that we process each year. As a result of our volume, we are in tune to the concerns that the Immigration and Naturalization Service ("INS") and the DOL have with respect to computer professionals, and develop and present evidence to overcome any issues raised.
In addition to the more commonly used H-1B and TN visas, computer professionals may also qualify for O-1, J-1, L-1, and H-2 visas. We will be able to work with your company to obtain the most appropriate visa for the circumstances.
